Thanos Sakellaridis (* 1995, Rhodes, Greece)

Thanos studied harmony, counterpoint and fugue with his brother Leonidas Sakellaridis, as well as classical guitar. In 2013, he was admitted to the School of Music Studies at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he is currently studying composition with Michalis Lapidakis.

As part of his composition studies, he has written pieces for solo instruments and instrumental ensembles. His piece 4 Psychotropical Fields for baritone saxophone and 4 timpani was performed last June in Thessaloniki. Thanos Sakellaridis has also composed music for theatre and is member of several popular and experimental music ensembles in Thessaloniki.
