Faidra Chafta Douka (* 1990, Athens, Greece)
Faidra studied composition and experimental music theatre at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with Michalis Lapidakis and Dimitris Papageorgiou, at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden with Mark Andre, Manos Tsangaris and Franz Martin Olbrisch and the Universität der Künste Berlin with Daniel Ott. She has participated in seminars and master classes with Georges Aperghis, Beat Furrer, Tristan Murail, Michael Roth, Clemens Gadenstätter and others.
Her pieces have been performed at workshops, festivals and other concerts by Ensemble Ascolta, Dissonart Ensemble, AuditivVokal Dresden, Dresdner Philharmonie and trio sostrenuto, among others.
Her artistic activity focuses not only on instrumental music but also on music theatre, and specifically on working with language, voices and minimal stage dramaturgy.
