Anda Kryeziu (* 1993)
Composer and interpreter from Kosovo. She studied at the Music Conservatory in Prishtina and later continued her studies at Bern University of the Arts and Luzern University of Applied Sciences and Arts. She completed her master’s degree in piano with Konstantin Lifschitz and composition with Dieter Ammann. In 2011, she held scholarships from the Basler Orchester-Gesellschaft, Atdta Foundation etc.
Kryeziu's music has been performed by various ensembles, such as: asamisimasa (Oslo), Soyuz21 (Switzerland), Ensemble Sherazade (Germany/Switzerland), Ensemble Sargo (Lausanne), Ensemble Lunaire (Lucerne), Soloist Anna d’Errico (Italy) and at the following festivals: Zeiträume Basel, Mostra Sonora – Sueca, Spain, Aufwind – Vienna, New Music Days – Lucerne (2015 & 2016); DAM Festival – Prishtina and Leicht über Linz – Linz.
The focus of her work is to emphasise a variety of musical media and approaches. Her works include instrumental music with and without live electronics, acousmatic music, multimedia and musical theatre. She is currently continuing her studies in composition at the Basel Music Academy under Caspar Johannes Walter.
